    Abstract

The use of child soldiers in internal wars has been a recurring practice throughout history; despite the agreements and international regulations, the numbers show that this practice is still latent. Because of its conditions of inequality and vulnerability, Colombia is a country that has not escaped this scourge and, although institutionalization has worked on demobilization, disarmament and rehabilitation programs for child soldiers, the consequences are irreparable. Similarly, in the Western Sahara region, the voluntary incorporation of children could arise as a result of the omission and indifference of the world in the face of the imminent risk of living a potential war because of the lack of solution to their request for an independence referendum.
