    Abstract

After than 50 years of armed conflict, Colombia faces one of the biggest challenges of its history: to build peace in the communities and territories exposed to traumatic events in the frame of the conflict. Some of the main affectations is on the mental health of the Colombian population (e.g., ex-combatants, victims) interfering with the development of the strategies of healthy coexistence, and the promotion of peacebuilding inside their communities. Studies about validated instruments and evidence-based indicators of mental health interventions in the Colombian population are limited, so its influence on implementation strategies of peacebuilding is unknown. Therefore, this paper reviews the studies of the last decade, identifying contributions and limitations on peacebuilding and on the transference of such findings to future research.
