Abstract

Social networks, today, are fundamental elements to communicate and keep in touch; but how have they influenced citizen participation and mobilization? In this article, the influence of social networks on citizen mobilization and participation is dealt with theoretically. For this, social networks, communication, social mobilizations and examples that help to understand the dynamics of these two elements are reviewed.
