    Abstract

    The planning of increasingly inclusive cities in all aspects has gained significant importance in public policy and the academic agenda. For this reason, this article presents a theoretical, bibliographic and descriptive review of the main concepts of a research whose initial phase aims to analyze the design of the public spaces of the historic center of Santa Marta according to accessibility and the time needed to acquire recommendations from the design and communication fields in order to plan a more inclusive city, with specific characteristics to integral development. This work will strengthen the state of art, since it analyzes the current sources that establish significant relationships between public space, the city and inclusion, in relation to universal design, communication and accessibility.
