SECTION POLICIES
PEER REVIEW PROCESS
When the authors have sent their article through the OJS platform of the journal"Búsqueda", the editors will confirm the receipt within a maximum period of 7 working days. The Editor in Chief makes a preliminary review, taking into account the thematic scope of the journal, originality, clarity, relevance and other partners according to the Author's Guide. Failure to comply with the criteria described may result in the manuscript being returned for correction prior to evaluation.
Once the criteria of the journal have been met, the articles will be sent by the editors associated to two independent evaluators and external to the publishing institution who, anonymously, may: accept the article; point out minor changes without new evaluation; instruct substantial changes and reassessment; or declare it not publishable. This, by submitting an evaluation form, available HERE. If the work is accepted with changes, it must be sent again for review to the same evaluators. The Editor in Chief is responsible for the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of articles.
Authors may appeal against editorial decisions, through a formal appeal sent to revistabusqueda@cecar.edu.co (or through the OJS). The editorial committee will respond within a maximum of 15 working days. If no response is received within the stated time, authors may send the request to COPE through the following link https://publicationethics.org/copeforum
